Downpour

 It rains ALOT here! And, I am absolutely loving it! It rains at least 2 times a week so far. Sometimes it doesn't rain all day. It will be nice and sunny in the morning, and then by the afternoon the clouds have come in, and then it rains. A few hours later it is nice and sunny again.

 

I am told that if you don't like the weather, just wait a bit, and it will change. This philosophy is true!

 Well, today had been cloudy all day. There was rain in the forecast. When we got to the barn to feed, all of a sudden it started to POUR rain. And when I mean pour, it came down in buckets! There were turkeys in the far pasture, and they didn't do anything, or go anywhere.

(And I heard that if a turkey looks up at he rain, it would actually drown. Well, these turkeys were looking, and I didn't see any dead ones.)

 All the horses came back into the barn to get out of the rain. They were all facing outward looking to see where all the noise was coming from. It was actually kind of funny. I don't know if they were looking at things in the field, or trying to figure out the sound of the rain on the tin roof. But, they sure didn't want to be out in it.

The downpour lasted about 20 minutes, and then the sun came out and the clouds moved on. It was awesome! Bart and I were able to just sit in the barn and listen and watch the rain. What a cool sound.
