Today started out awesome. I ran my errands and did a little shopping. Found a cool strawberry patch where you could pick your own berries, and picked up groceries 'cuz Bart
will be home this weekend. So excited to see him!
Anyway, I went up to Melody's to ride my horse for a bit to use up some more time. I had a great ride with DeeDee. We rode all over. I thought I was alone because all of Melody's vehicles were gone. But then I saw Faith. She had just come out of the house. She was with a friend. I asked her if she wanted a riding lesson today since she was home (she has been so busy - I haven't been able to spend any time with her). She said yes, so I told her that I would meet her at the round pen. I rode out of the pasture that I was in. I got off, and was walking down the lane to the round pen.
I still don't know exactly what happened, but I was walking and I twisted my ankle, and down I went. I felt a pop, and I tried to get back up, but my ankle was stuck sideways! I reached down and grabbed it, and popped it back in. Amazingly, it didn't hurt. I was able to move it all around and even walk on it. So I continued down the hill gingerly but it was ok. I gave Faith her lesson, and I even let her 2 friends ride. They had a blast. Faith was riding all by herself today, and I think that she loved it.
Anyway, I finished putting DeeDee up and fed all of the horses and watered them. Then I drove home.
When I got home, I took a good look at my ankle, and it was really swollen! I mean really swollen! It started to ache, so I started icing it.
By the night time, I was hurting pretty good. So for the next few days, this is what I will be doing.
(I couldn't walk on it at all for the next few days). I am getting so tired of this! I called Bryce and he is sending up my ankle wraps so that I can stabilize it. Surgery might be in my near future.
