It is so beautiful here. There is lots to see and do.
We went exploring today around Melody's place on foot. There is a little stream that runs thru their property. It's so cool to be walking and hear the little brook babbling.
There is a little bridge that goes over the brook into another pasture. I don't think there are any big fish in there, but there are little frogs. At night, you can hear them croaking. By the sound, you would think they were HUGE! We get to hear these every night when we go to feed he horses. It is awesome!
At the other end of the property, there is an actual pond. Melody's kids' say that they don't swim in it cuz there are snapping turtles in there! I didn't see any today, but Brandon says that he has seen one. He wasn't able to take a picture of it tho, it only pops it's head out for a short time.
You see all kinds of tracks all over the place. Here is a deer track. Bart has seen deer in the meadow in the early mornings. I haven't seen any yet, but the I'm not getting up at the crack of dawn!
This picture doesn't do it justice. I'm sure that it will be even more pretty when it warms up and everything is in bloom.
Of course Bart wanted to see how deep it was. He waded out there in his rubber boots, but didn't get too far. I think when it gets warmer, he will probably try to take the horses out into it.
These are making or some FUN times!
