We woke up to rain today. It had rained ALL night, and we had a long day ahead of us.
This is the summary of most of our travels today = RAIN.
This sign says Oklahoma. Yep, we can cross this one off our list. Bart really liked Oklahoma. I thought it was rather flat, and there were NO mountains. But, we are getter to greener pastures.
Bart is so observant. We are driving along, and the looks and says, "Wow! This bridge sure needs to be painted." I look over and sure enough, it looked pretty bad.
I didn't know that Garth Brooks lives here? Ha, Ha. He has a Blvd named after him.
It continued to rain thru the whole state of Oklahoma. Here, is where we got into some heavy traffic. Thank goodness we weren't on the other side. We were really lucky, as we didn't really hit any heavy traffic until now. But, we are getting close to the middle of the city. We had no car issues, no animal issues, & no people issues during our travels.
Here is a cool water park. Reminded us about how & where we met. Awww...
This was a very cool structure. Not sure if it was considered a bridge or just something cool. Anyway, it was different.
Wait. Did we take a wrong turn? We didn't get too far from Vegas, 'cuz they had these jets sittin there with U.S. Air Force on them. But nope, we are in Oklahoma.
And, here is somethin' that hits close to home - but, it is here in Oklahoma. A water tank! Brandon & Bart just finished one in Las Vegas last week. Looks like the people were working on this one too.
Rain....rain....
and more rain. It rained the entire trip through Oklahoma.
It got pretty intense a few times, but Bart just barreled on through.
The fog was really low to the ground. It was kinda cool to see.
We crossed the mighty Mississippi river, but it was rainy, and dark when we did, so we didn't get to see it. Maybe on our trip back home.
