We could keep an eye on them in the round pen from our room. The total miles that we need to go is about 1,800, and we made it to our 1/2 way mark in 1 day! (Total miles 1,791.44 = 27 hrs 3 min .... not counting potty breaks).
Brandon helped himself to a good breakfast as well.
This kitchen was huge and it was stocked with everything that you could imagine. There was a looong table that could accommodate many people, too. So it was great. There were a couple of other people that came in last night, but they had their own sleeper trailer that they were able to hook up water, etc. and they just stayed in there. They slept in too, and we never did see them.
This was the cute little entrance to our rooms. There were all kinds of antiques sitting everywhere, too. (I thought of Kim & Brent). It was such easy access to the horses as well. I thought it was the perfect little set up.
There were 4 rooms total. 2 on each end of this building, and the kitchen was in the middle. They had everything that you could possibly want to eat, and they had it set out in the morning for us.
Note: We didn't know that these places even existed. We just thought that if you traveled with your horses that you had to leave them in the trailers until you reached your destination, and you yourself had to live in your trailer if you wanted to be with them, or stay in a hotel where they would let you park your trailer. Learn something new all the time.
Bart & I think that this is something that we would want to do someday. This place is "For Sale". I think it is cute, and ideal EXCEPT for the train! Yep - there is a train that goes through here in the middle of the night - not once, but several times & blares it's horn! Really?! (We felt like "My Cousin Vinny!)
Nope - not gonna buy this place. Time to move on. We will do our own somewhere else.
Here are some of the cute little sayings & things that they had on the outside of our rooms.
This one is definitely for my Boys!
I would love this one to put on my barn by the hay.
When it came time to get on the road again, poor DeeDee didn't want to get back into the trailer. Heck - I didn't blame her, I didn't want to get back in the truck. We didn't get back on the road until 10:00 am.
