Visit with Stephanie

My friend Stephanie Heppler is from Georgia. I found out that she was going to be visiting her family for a couple of weeks. That meant that she would be closer to me! I told her that I would come and visit her while she was there.

Come to find out, she needed to have a medical treatment while she was in Georgia. So, what better time to sit and visit! It would make her treatment time (3 hours) go by much faster if she had someone to talk to.

So, I left early this morning - 4:15am to make the almost 5 hour drive (335 mi) down to Georgia. It was a really easy drive and I didn't get lost....not once! I was so proud of myself. I most always make at least 1 wrong turn. My GPS on my phone is awesome.

She was having her treatment in Macon, GA. It was just a few miles from her parents home. So, I met her there at the Doctors Office. I'm glad that I left early because I forgot about the 1 hour time difference too! I actually made it there before them. Her Mom dropped her and took the kids back home. We had to wait a little bit in the waiting room because they were "fitting her in". Again, it was fun to just catch up on everything.

I think her treatment, and time went by really fast. It was so fun to just visit and not be rushed or interupted. Stephanie is always so prepared, and even brought nice snacks for both of us. These were my favorites

When she was all done, I drove her back into town. She took me to a few fun places. (I will do separate posts on those). Then we came back to her parent's home. This is the home of Frieda & Bubba Heppler. It is beautiful!

Her family has lived here her whole life, and it was fun to see where she grew up. It was so peaceful and relaxing here. I can see why she still likes to come back here. Her Dad keeps the grounds immaculate. I got to meet some of her family too. They are as nice as she is, and treated me just like I was a member of their family.

We hung out for awhile longer, then I left to go to my hotel. They offered for me to stay with them, but I didn't want to take advantage.
