Sky finally was able to take her Cosmetology test for Tennessee....and SHE PASSED! I am so very proud of her. I know that she was so nervous and had been studying for days. This is the Law portion on the test. She now has to take her Practical - but she should pass that with flying colors! She can't wait to start working in Tennessee.
Then, tonight Brandon, Sky, Jason, Melody, Bart and I were all hanging out at the barn...just visiting. It was getting late, and it was getting dark. Then, we starting seeing fireflies! They are so very cool. If you are looking around, you will see little sparkly things mostly at the base of the trees and bushes. They will blink and glow momentarily and then go off. They are awesome!
So, I wanted to see what they looked like close up. So, Jason went out and caught me a firefly. They are also known as Lightening Bugs - but here in Tennessee they are called "Fireflies". They will glow, and then when they go out, you can tap them on their little butts, and they will light up again! They look like sunflower seeds close up, and then underneath are the lighted butts. They don't bite! This is so cool and fun now that they are coming out. You can look out into the meadow and see everything full of these! This is by far my FAVORITE thing about Tennessee so far!
