I have to say, I am so very grateful for this kid right here! I can't really call him a kid anymore. He is a grown man, but he will always be MY kid. I miss him so much it hurts. But, he is so busy - not only taking care of our home and animals, but is working for A&G Plumbing, with Aaron Graham. I have to say that he is doing a wonderful job. His responsibilities are different and varied each and every day. It's never boring. Today he was chasing down a rooster.
He has found time to plant a garden, and works in it in the evenings. So, he has to water that morning and night, and weed it too. His sunflowers are growing fast, and look nice and healthy.
Bryce is constantly having to get his pig fresh water because he keeps dumping the water dish over. He would dump it, and then lay in it, but then when he would get thirsty there was nothing to drink. We are coming up on summer, so that had to be fixed. Bryce had to install a water nipple so that the pig could drink, but not waste water. But, the pig has figured out how to hold onto the spout with his mouth to let the water run out to make a puddle so that he can lay in it. He is very smart! So, he has to feed this porker morning and night. And, I can't believe how much pig food this guy goes through. He is getting really big - quick. So, he must be doing somethin right!
Then is his spare time he is finishing the project that we started right before we left. We wanted to put up some metal on the wall so that the living room would have an ol' barn feel to it. So, he has been working on painting and then putting this up on the walls.
On top of all that - the horses keep him hopping. He is constantly trying to keep Tucker out of trouble. Today Tucker managed to pull a folding chair into his corral. Not only did he do that, but he pulled all of the padding off of the chair and strung it all over the corral. He even got some in his feed barrel. Now, I ask you "Tucker Why?" Today, Bryce turned the horses out so that they could have a break from their corrals.
Then there are the girls - Cinch & Denim. I miss my Denim girl. I don't think that she misses me all that much....look how fat she is. Bryce is taking really good care of her! But then again, Bryce is constantly having to save birds that his dog - Cinch catches. She thinks they are toys!
But then there are also those unexpected surprises too. This morning Bryce had to fix a broken water line that one of our renters (Holly) broke last night pulling too hard on the faucet. Thank goodness Bryce has payed attention and has helped Bart fix water lines before so that he could get it all put back together. Man this kid is awesome!
Oh, and then there are the favors that he does for others. Here he is towing someone's truck for them. Good thing he has a license with a "J" endorsement so that he can pull a trailer. Bryce is such a nice guy. He is always helping someone!
Even after all of the responsibilities he has, he still finds time for some fun. He has been hanging out with his boss Aaron Graham. They have been going out on Aaron's Razor to the dunes and different deserts to play. Bryce not only works hard at home and work, but he plays just as hard. You can tell by how many miles he has on his truck!
When he gets home, there is always the stacking of firewood that he does in his spare time!
Grandma Blood came over an cooked for him when she came to visit. She spoiled him rotten and made meatloaf and homemade chicken fingers for him.
I don't even want to imagine what I would do without him. He is one in a million, and I wouldn't trade him for the world. Thank you Bryce for all of your hard work and dedication to our family. You are doing a wonderful and awesome job!
