While I was busy with Charity's birthday horse rides, Melody was driving the kids around in the Razor. After everyone all had a turn, Faith & Parker took it out for a ride.
Jason and I were visiting while the girls were finishing up riding. Then Faith comes riding back in the Razor without Parker! We thought something happened. Faith tells her Dad that he needs to come quick - that there is a baby deer in the meadow all alone.
So, Jason takes off with Faith to see what was going on. I guess while Parker & Faith were out riding, they came around the corner and heard this really loud squealing - then saw a deer jump the fence. As they looked in the long grass, they saw a baby fawn.
It still had it's spots on it! Faith got out and walked over by it, and the fawn walked right up to her. So, she picked it up!
She didn't know what to do with it, so she left it with Parker to go get her Dad.
They ended up leaving it right where it was, hoping that the Mom deer would come back for it.
I took off on DeeDee and rode out there to see if I could see it. I could see it through the fence, but barely. It was so tiny. I know that it had to have been brand new. It had a lot of spots on it. It was adorable!
A few minutes later, Obraum went out to see if he could find it, and he couldn't. So, we are hoping that the Mom came back and got it.
