Girls Day Antiquing

I have been wanting to go see some Antique stores here in Tennessee. When we first got here, Melody was still recovering from her broken ankle. So, she said that when she got her boot off, we would make a day of it, and go out together.

It was pouring rain, but it didn't stop us. Luckily I had 2 umbrellas in my car. Here we are sitting in the car waiting for the rain to slow down so that we could make a run for it to our first antique shop - PD's.

I love to get ideas from other places. I know these aren't antiques, but I just loved these chair covers. I think I want to do these in our dining room. This place had very unique things in here. It was crammed full, and it took us a few passes to see everything.

I ended up buying a mirror that looked kinda westernish, and Melody purchased a teal picture frame.

We went to a couple of other antique shoppes. There is a whole street dedicated to antiques. I will have to go back another time when the weather is better, and I have an entire day to venture out. The rain was just relentless. We were having so much fun, and had been gone for 5 hours, so we called it quits and decided to go to lunch.

Melody suggested this place. It wasn't busy today. I don't know if it was due to the rain or if it was because it was the middle of the week, but we got really good service. At night they roll up the doors, and people hang out, play music and just have a good time. We had fried pickle chips which were extra yummy. I ended up having the salad with chicken and she had some sort of Caribbean sandwich. It was so fun to have a girls day out. We will have to do this again, and soon!
