Our Home Teacher, Bro. Lance Olivas visited us last Sunday, and told us about a walking trail that is just down the street from our house. It is right off of Pomegranate Street.
So, I thought I would check it out today.
I put on my headphones (only one side - so I could make sure I could hear other "things"), and "hit the trail".
It is only about 1/2 mile and then it comes to a cul de sac. When I came out at the end of the trail, I saw a deer! I tried to take a quick picture. If you look hard, you will see the deer going back into the woods right in the middle of this photo.
It was heavily wooded, and there are all kinds of critters in them there parts. I saw the deer, rabbits, birds, and heard other stuff. As I am walking, I am thinking....hmmm, this could turn into a scary movie. No one knows that I am out here. What if someone pops out from somewhere? A person could really freak themselves out walking thru here. It would definitely be questionable to walk alone at nighttime.
It was nice and sunny today though, and it had a really good walking trail. You could actually see the backyards of some peoples homes too.
In the woods, there are all kinds of plants, but I don't think that you would want to go off the trail - there are some wicked thorns on some of those branches!
It was a nice easy walk. I was the only one on it today.
From my front door, take the trail, circle around and come back = about a mile. It was an easy walk, nice and peaceful.
