Stake Boundary Changes

As always in life, there are changes. Today, not only did I have to speak in Sacrament meeting - for Father's Day - but we found out the boundary changes for our Stake. Bart & I are still in the Old Hickory Ward with Bishop Facer, but the Nash family is now in another Ward. They will be attending the Sunset Ward. So, although we won't be seeing them on Sunday, we will still see them most every night when we go to feed the horses.

Here we are driving to our new Stake Building. We are excited for this monumental event. We are the first Ward (Old Hickory) to attend in the new building.

Looks really nice on the outside. They have a lot to do though. They don't even have the landscaping done yet. But according to the church, they wanted it occupied by the end of their fiscal quarter. So, we had to be in there by today!

Bart was even asked to give the first prayer in the new building. They only wanted us to attend sacrament today. So, it was a short church day. We got to see some of the new people that will be in our Ward...there was a "linger longer" (with muffins) after church so that we could visit with new members. We met some new families - but what they all have in common - is that they are all really, really nice.

Brandon & Sky even attended today. Brandon bought a new suit. Don't let him fool you though - he was still wearing his Jack Daniels cuff links & NO tie. Always the rebel. Don't they look handsome?
