Bryce has been here for 2 weeks already, so we had to get a little creative. We have run out of quick things to do.
So, today we are off to Kentucky! It isn't too far away, so we decided to take the hour drive and see if it looked any different from Tennessee. It was fun - just the 2 of us - we got to visit uninterrupted.
We had to stop at the Kentucky sign. As we were approaching it, we noticed that there was a white truck pulled over on the side of the road. We pulled up right behind it and got out, and walked over to the sign to take our picture. Then the guy got out of his truck.
He wanted to take a picture in front of the Kentucky sign, but was riding alone. So, he got out to ask us if we would take his picture (which we did), and then he took ours. Then off he went!
The reason we picked Kentucky is because there was a Cracker Barrel right over the border. Bryce has never been to one before, so we decided to do lunch here. He liked it.
After lunch, we went into an antique store to look around. I purchased some instruments for my Christmas Tree. I will write on them "Kentucky & the year". It will be a nice memento of our trip!
We noticed that a storm was coming in, so we figured we had better get back on the road and head towards home. It was a very quick trip, but it gave us something to do. Kentucky is as green as Tennessee.
Then, on the way back, we had to stop and take a picture of the place that we are calling home. Good times!
