The Facers (Our Bishop)

Our Bishop (Kim Facer) and his wife Christy invited our family over for dinner tonight. It was such a nice surprise. We are usually the ones having people over for dinner, or taking dinner to other families - so it threw me off guard to be invited to their home. They invited me and Bart, Brandon and Sky. They also invited the Sister Missionaries, and then their youngest son (Nathan) was there too.

This great family is so fun. We had a blast sharing stories and life experiences. We ended up staying for 2 hours. And boy, did that time fly by.

They have 5 sons! One of the older ones (Benjin) & his fiancé Erin would come into Nursery and help us with the Nursery kiddos when they were on break from college. The other 2 older ones - one is attending college, the other one is serving a mission in Taiwan, Taipei....the youngest is a Senior this year. They are amazing!

While Christy was putting the finishing touches on dinner, Bishop Facer showed us his hobby. He loves to restore old cars. Here is his '52 Dodge.

He had just finished getting it painted, but was anxious to get it out of Tennessee because of all the moisture here, it is causing the under carriage to rust in spots. So, he wanted to touch those up, and then he is going to take it to Arizona to sell!

He took the Sister Missionaires for a ride after dinner. Isn't it cool lookin?
