Unique Pumpkin Carving

After a quick little nap, Brent went over to the kitchen countertop and got to working on a little project. He started carving a lil teeny pumpkin.

He designed and cut out this lil thing all free hand with just a pocket knife!

We think it turned out great! It is the "honey bee" from the Jack Daniels barrel of whiskey. What a unique idea!

Jack Daniels AGAIN

I didn't take too many pictures of our 3rd TIME to Jack Daniels. We took Kim & Brent this time. Even though we have come here a lot - we still enjoy it. We learn something new each time, and each tour is different. Honest Bishop ... we don't have a problem! :)

Waitin' for our tour to start. It has been really fun havin these guys around to play with. Bart has even been able to take some time from work to go with us. (My very favorite picture of all of us).

They were doin all kinds of maintenance on their building, so we weren't able to go into ANY of them. Pretty disappointed, but the staff still made it fun.

(Usin' the selfie stick again).

While we were waitin' for the bus, we saw some deer just layin' in the wooded area.

Bart and I loved this wood table that they made out of a huge tree!

Walden Farms Pumpkins

WALDEN FARMS WITH THE ALBINS 2015

We found some signs on the side of the road today with directions to a Pumpkin Farm. It was only 3 miles from our house, so we followed the signs and ended up here! It was really a cool place. They had tons of fresh pumpkins - and all kinds and sizes!

They had fun stuff for the kiddos to do. There was this little hay maze for them. They put the bales down on the short side, so that the kids could see, and not freak out.

This crazy little house was actually for the goats! It was 2 story, and if you look closely to the left side of the picture, there is a long pulley system. You can purchase food for them, then put it in a cup. Then you manually move the cup up the pulley and it dumps it out on the top deck where the goats will climb up and eat it.

The goats were all colors too. I have never seen a polka dotted one before!

They had mini pumpkins in this little grass area for the teeny tots to choose their pumpkins. They thought of everything!

I fell in love with this old tree. It was all knarly. Awesome for Halloween!

This little "wagon" was made out of 55 gallon plastic drums. They put wheels on the bottom then pulled it around with a little John Deere tractor. I could see Bart making something like this. It would be a blast for the kids!

They used all of their old corn stalks to make these cool towers. The corn was still on them too.

We had a blast with Kim & Brent. They were as goofy as we are!

This sheep brought me and Kim back some memories of our sheep that we had growing up. "Pilgrim" was smaller though.

Kim fed it everything she had! It wasn't shy at all.

I think Kim enjoyed herself!

In another pen close by there were some baby calves. I thought this one was the cutest, but then again, I think all animals are cute when they are small.

We even went on a hay ride! They had huge tractors that I think Bryce would have loved to drive! The wagons were cool too. The steps that they had on them would fold out so that you could step down. Then when you were ready to drive away, they would just fold all back up.

Here we go! They had wood benches in the middle of the wagons so that you sat in the middle. They were all covered with straw, which made it fun. You are never too old to go on a hay ride.

The decorations were unique. They had a round bale decorated as a spider on the way.

It was really stormy today, but it was nice and cool, and the ride was nice and relaxing.

Along the little drive they had decorations all along the way. See the guy hangin from the tree? Ooooo so very scary.

I totally want to do this one. There was a skeleton swinging in the swing! I gotta remember this one for next year!

Here we are acting scary....for our scary hay ride of course! I guess I was the only one into it!

After the hayride, the guys' had to use the bathroom. I guess it scared the ???? out of them. Brent was constipated and stunk it up...Bart got the short stick this time. lol

There were corn stalks all around the place. Brent got hungry, so he took full advantage of the extra corn laying around.

When we were all done, we were on our way back to the truck when we came upon this weird thing. It came off of this tree, but we don't know what it is? Is it a fruit? Never did figure out what it was! But, took one home with us!

Another fun picture just for good measure.

On the way home, we visited and discussed all kinds of things. Can you guess what we were talkin about in this conversation?

Answer: How to preg check a mare. Bwaaahhaaaa. We talk about everything in our family. And we are always prepared!!!

Seriously? I didn't think that a hay ride was this exhausting. They all crashed when we got home! What's the deal?

Oh well. I'm just glad that they felt comfortable enough to just stretch out and relax while they are on vacation.

Annndddd.....Tank #4

Well, we are all done with Tank #3 and moving onto Tank #4. The one that is wrapped in this picture if Tank #3. All of that wrapping needs to come off of that one, and then put onto the next one.

They have started putting up the scaffolding on tank #4 and just need to wrap it. Then they can get to moving on. We are over the 1/2 way mark!

My Early Birthday

Kim and Brent also brought me my early birthday present! It came all the way from Montana! They were on vacation there, when they saw this "horse purse" in the window of this cute little shop on the last day of their vacation. The store was closed, so he called his sister Stacie (who lives there), and she went and picked it up the next day when they were open. She then mailed it back to them. Thank you Stacie!

It looks like a real miniature saddle. It is so very cool! They let me open it up very early (my birthday isn't until December) because I won't be home for my birthday. Thanks guys!
