Big Burrito

Tonight we went to Chili's for dinner. Bryce went with us, too. There was a sign for this really huge burrito. I thought that Bart would really like it. So, when the waitress came by, he ordered it. She told him that she hasn't had anyone finish one completely yet, and that if he finished it, she would give HIM $1.

Well, Bart never backs down on a bet, and took that challenge to heart, and wouldn't you know it - he ate the WHOLE thing! I couldn't believe it!

He was pretty proud of himself (but miserable after), and when the waitress came back, she was shocked! Bart asked her where his $1 was, and she grabbed one out of her pouch and gave it to him. (He gave it back to her, tho). What a nice guy. Everyone had a good laugh.

What's in Your Pantry?

Tonight Sky cooked dinner for us, and brought it to our house: Ribs,& Pasta Salad, and Chocolate Pie! I made a Mexican dip & Kielbasa. It was great to have a home cooked meal. (I hate to cook, but enjoy it when I have lots of time, and am not in a hurry).

?
Brandon asked me if I had any soda, and I told him all that we had was in the pantry. He was like O, Ok. Then he asked if we had any crackers, and again I told him that they were in the pantry. He was like O, Ok. Brandon asked for something else, and I told him, what's the deal? - IT'S IN THE PANTRY! Go get it. He was like, Mama, can you get it for me. So, I went to the pantry....

And, out popped Bryce! What the???? He surprised me and came to see us for his 21st Birthday! I guess he's not nervous to fly all by himself now. He has become quite the pro. I have to admit that I was feeling a bit down that I wasn't gonna be able to be with Bryce for his Birthday (even though - the last thing he probably wanted to do, was hang out with his Mama).

We were all just hangin' out visitin. It was gettin' kinda quiet...

Then the boys decided to gang up on Bart and started in on wrestling again.

 Bart held his own tho!

Who wrestles in cowboy boots? Anyone? Anyone? My guys DO!!!

Valentine was keepin an eye on them, and tried to stay out of the way. This is just a normal everyday thing when these guys get together, and I love every minute of it.

In the end, I think Bart won - I think Brandon is still surprised that Bart can keep up with him.

Barn Electrical

Melody wants to have a Halloween Party in the barn for the kids and their friends. So, Bart told her that he would take a look at what he could do to get some lighting in there for her.

Tonight at the barn, we tried to work on the electrical. I guess there used to be lights at the barn, but since Melody got her dryer hooked up, the lights in the barn no longer work. (The electrical box in the house is a nightmare). Talk about "Hickville". So, Bart got in there during the day to see what he could do to fix it!

Of course the horses were curious as to what in the world was goin' on.

We worked on it for most of the day. Going back and forth from the house to the barn. And, Bart crawled all over the barn trying to see what the problem was. I think he forgets how old he is!

He even incorporated Brandon in some of the adventure, when he came up.

Then after changing all the lightbulbs out, we finally got.....drum roll please....3 to work! Yep, you read that correctly. 3 Lights! Well, at least we have 3, and don't have to feed in the dark anymore!

Nash Thank You

Melody stopped by today, and brought us a homemade treat, and a Thank you card. She made the candied apple herself!

What a nice surprise!

Porky

Bryce took our pig to the butcher in Utah a few weeks ago. And, today, he went a picked up all the meat. I think we made out pretty good. We have everything: roasts, pork chops, bacon, sausage, ribs, tenderloin - you name it. Can't wait to try it!

SKIP

So, after we finally got Skip in the barn, and everyone had a good nights sleep, we went back up to check on him today. He has settled in quite well, and the girls were quite curious as to who the new "man" is in town. They were whinnying back and forth, and DeeDee was even kickin' at the door.

April was tryin' to be cool, and though she was sly, keepin' her head down, but believe me, she was checkin' him out, too.

Bart decided to take Skip out, and let him run around a bit in the round pen. This is my most favorite picture of the 2 of them.

It's been rainin the last few days, and even tho Skip is filthy, he is still and really pretty horse. He is massive!

I think he is going to be just fine here with us.

Sooo, today Brandon came over to give Bart a hand on getting Skip settled in a little better. Had to get another waterer.

These guys are like 2 peas in a pod. They work so well together.

 Brandon & Bart

I don't know why Brandon doesn't complain about his knees or legs hurting, because look at the heels on them ther' boots? Do you see a problem?
