Got back just in time to celebrate Melody's birthday! Of course I had to doll her up with a feather boa and a crown (my tradition). I couldn't find a regular crown, so I had to settle for a Barbi one. Fitting - don't you think? She liked it, and wore it the entire time. Other people thought it was great!
She got to choose her favorite dessert. She chose cheesecake! Not only did we sing Happy Birthday to her, but somehow they got the entire restaurant to chime in! It was awesome! I got her the new Pioneer Woman Cookbook. (I am obsessed with that Food Network show right now).
Here is the famous sign. I also purchased an ornament to go on the Christmas tree. They have some really cute gift shops that we browsed thru while we were waiting. We had to wait almost 45 minutes to get in. It is THAT popular. But, I have to say...the food was delicious. They give you homemade biscuits and jams before you order. Then, I had a salad and chicken pot pie soup! They brought me the soup, and there was a homemade biscuit right in the middle of it. Yuum.
Afterwards, I started driving home, and there was a bad accident that had traffic backed up for miles. It took me quite awhile to get home, but at least I got home in one piece.
